Seriously, before the season started I said the Twins should move Morneau as soon as they can convince someone he's healthy. Now, I think it's too late.

I can't thank you and Jake enough for making that pre-draft trade that enabled Jake to take Dunn. Otherwise, I would have wound up with him instead of Beltre. Speaking of Beltre, weren't you the guy giving me crap for drafting both Beltre and Weeks?

Interesting, it's definitely food for thought. I choose to bench Ubaldo and start Cueto. So, Win-Win there. I also picked up and started Aaron Cook for his debut against SD, he went 5.2 IP, 6 hits, 3 ER 4 ks. Depending on the match up, I'll probably start Josh Johnson when he returns in the next 2-3 weeks.

Hey i can understand that. And you can just take advantage of the owner that freaks out about their closer blowing a save and drops him. I used the waiver wire for a good chunk of my saves last year and it worked well!

Everyonce in a while a guy like Weeks puts that history of injuries moniker behind him and I'm gambling on that. Only time will tell I hit a Blackjack or a bust. Right now Beltre is looking like a complete bust though I don't expect that to last.

I could have used the SBs from Furcal, I'm starting to think I'm going finish in last in that category... again.

If you want something more than Borbon or Ibanez i'm not interested. I'm a firm believer in not paying for closers besides I just picked up Contreras.

Didn't seem like a reach to me at the time, but based on ADP, he was typically going in the 18th round. Still, it doesn't seem unreasonable to think that he'll give you 13th round value or better.

now that you mention it, i can't for the life of me remember why we drafted Zobrist where we did. the only reason i can think is that we loves us some versatility in our players. so the ability to move Zobrist to second and Prado to third when Aramis eventually gets hurt probably had something to do w/ it.

i had a feeling you liked the Sanchez pick but i was sure you'd call Morrow a reach in the 13th. i still wish we had a flat out power guy but it's not like we've ever had one before.

I'll give you Beltre, especially the fractured testicle injury, but a "history of injuries" with Weeks is an understatement. If he can put up 2 consecutive seasons without injury, that'll be something. But the fact is: he spent time on the DL 4 years straight. One out of five isn't a good rate. He sure is killing it though, so for your sake, i hope it lasts! And yeah, I am a disgruntled former Weeks owner.

Meh, maybe you made the right call in taking Castro instead of Furcal. Speaking of injury risks.

Cool site though. I could spend days on there.

Yeah, you're right about Saves, I'll have to pick up another closer at some point.

Castro's worked out well so far, but something tells me he won't be sporting a 1.222 OPS in September. I should have nabbed Furcal when he was dropped, but I completely missed that he was available.

It's a good thing I took all those extra outfielders. A fucking apendectomy...

The injury risk isn't really as high as you might think.
Beltre's only had 3 trips on the DL a one was in 2001, andhas only missed 54 games for day to day injuries in his career. We both know Weeks has a history of injuries, but he didn't miss a single game last year due to an injury.

Speaking of injuries, have you seen https://www.baseballinjurytool... it's pretty cool. I enjoy the "Body Part Summary"

80 saves would have put you in 7th place for saves last year.

Desmond will at least get double digit steals and homers. I'm just not sure that Castro will reach either. He might hit for a higher average but he seems like a really empty player. I just feel the value of adding a better player where you took Castro would have made more sense.

I like Weeks and Beltre, don't get me wrong. It's just the combination of two risks that high in the draft. But you're right: IF healthy, it'll pay off.

Weekes may be a bit of a gamble, but if he stays healthy it should pay off. Plus, Mr. Roto really likes him this year and he knows way more than both of us combined. I screwed up on Castro, I thought Drew was off the board already and knowing that the Slappers needed a shortstop I didn't want to have to settle on Desmond in any round.

If my pitching goes wrong I have only my self to blame. As I was targeting everyone but Cueto and Cordero. Which is also why I took Myers when I did, I was pretty sure he wouldn't make it back to me.

Issue with saves? I have 2 - 40 save closers?
